--- how I got into framing pictures ---
I was always loved art, music, and writing and was a performing musician all my life. In order to put some balance in my life I took up fly fishing. Music put me in a social night life and fly fishing took me to solitude and nature. I performed throughout Oregon until December 31, 2000. I took up serious fishing in 1973 on the lower Mckenzie River in the Eugene-Springfield area of Oregon. In 1998 after 25 years of fly fishing in Western Oregon I became a licensed fishing guide. Being a fishing guide is a great job but it has one downside ... business slows way down as the weather gets wetter. And in our great state of Oregon ... that can be a few months. What to do with this spare time? In the past 30 years I have tied flies and crafted custom fishing rods for myself and a few select clients. But after 30 years of fishing crafts I have seen enough Royal Coachmans and G. Loomis fly fishing rods.

My wife Ulla had a bunch of picture prints she had collected and told me she would never get around to framing all this artwork because she didn't think she would become a millionaire in this lifetime. I hated the thought of all this artwork not being seen so I decided to become a millionare. Picture framing is expensive! Millionares in our current time is not that exceptional. Billionares are the in thing today! So I will feel no guilt if I charge you and arm and a leg! Ha!
This is how I became a picture framer ...
